-the delivery man woke me this morning at 7.45.he delivers lots of parcels here and only sees me freshly woken up in pj,s/dressing gown, no make-up lol bless him. :-)
-it was an order from redhouse for the girlies.26 oxford learning tree (biff, kipper et al) books which cost 19.99 brand new with free delivery.
-everyone was impressed and while r and b were looking through the pile n read the first 6 to me.
-we didnt do a lot the rest of the morning but it went quickly.i got post from toys r us with catalogues and voucher booklets so everyone had a good look through seeing what they liked.
-lunchtime it was toasties all round which took a while to make cos everyone was here and i was making 4 different kinds so the kitchen looked like a factory production line.
-after lunch r played on the laptop and n played the barbie horse game on the ps,b was tired but wasn,t interested in having a nap, she very rarely does now.
-my friend m came round with e and we had a good natter with a brew or 2.the girlies love them coming and e is a little darling, she,s got used to us now (it,s generally very noisy and chaotic round here) as it can be a bit overwhelming sometimes for visitors :-)
-i,ve known m just over a year now and she,s become a good friend, we,re on the same wavelength so get on really well -hiya m if you read this i,m waving-
-after m had gone we had a mad half hour with the balloons which we,d taken down,(from r,s birthday last week)and little man was really excited and kept lunging for them when they came near him.
- we had carbonara for tea (a good old standby when i need to make something quickly) b had 3 helpings and for once the tele was off while we ate so it was non stop talking.
-while i got the littlies to sleep n and r were on the laptop and ps2 again then me and n played draughts again when i came back down.
-just before bed n posed one of her questions "does it ever rain in outer space"? hmm we,ll go over the water cycle again with this one,to help answer it which is appropriate cos its been raining again all day,with a great storm thrown in for good measure.
-time for bed now as i,m flagging and it,s past midnight again !!!!

me, n and little man were down first this morning and it was nearly an hour before r and b woke up.
-after breakfast we all went to the wholesale butchers at the abbatoir,it,s the first time i,ve been and i won,t be buying meat from a high street butcher or supermarket again.the choice, quality and prices were amazing and i couldnt buy all i wanted cos i knew it wouldnt fit in the freezer(we really need a huge freezer, its on the list)
-by the time we got back it was lunch time, r wanted to make her own again and she found some pots to wash after.(one of the reasons i want/need a bigger kitchen is so the children can be in it at the same time as me and each other without falling over each other.they love to cook and bake but the kitchen is so small 2 in there and its crowded :-( )
-this afternoon n watched tele and she told me that she knows santa and the tooth fairy are not real,(ok where did that come from?)she was grinning while telling me and she seemed ok about it and said she wouldn,t tell the others.
-r and b played going to pontins (a favourite game of theirs)and then watched tele with n.
-i gave in and let n and r play games on the laptop and they soon got the hang of using it,b wanted a go but i managed to distract her.
-i managed to put some of my wool stash into boxes, helped by b who was very kindly chucking it in for me,! (we filled 3 boxes) still a lot more to go.i,m not saying my stash is large but as knitters will know you can never have too much yarn :-)
-i got the shorties finished and cast on a dress/tunic for e, it,s the first time i,ve attempted a top down knitted in one piece project so we,ll see how it goes.
-got 4 knitteds to finish:-
n,s cardi,only got one sleeve to do.

we,ve had a busy day today
the shopping was due between 9 and 10 (how i love online shopping its made life so much easier)and it came at about 2 minutes past 9.i,d just got dressed so timed it right.with my posse of helpers we brought it all in and after a rummage through the girlies decided that they wanted fruit and yoghurt, with n making herself a fruit salad and r and b had an apple cut up that they could dip into the yoghurt.little man had a piece of toasted teacake and had a good chew on it.
they all wanted "jobs" to do after breakfast so the pasta, rice and tea bag containers got filled.then they wanted to paint again (did it yesterday )so put the newspaper down and got everything out themselves.they tidied it away as well without being asked!
r wanted to "wash up"so we ran a sink of soapy water and she washed the painting things, she had a great time doing it and had to get changed after while i dryed the kitchen floor.
after lunch n wanted to play draughts so we had a couple of games that didn,t get finished, the first one we both got to a stage where we couldnt move, which i,ve never had happen before!very strange, and the second got kicked over accidently by b who was fidgeting on my knee because she wanted to join in.we gave up until we could play in peace.
then alphabet bingo was brought out which they all love (b is recognising when the letter held up matches one on her card so doesnt need much help)and r is recognising a few of the letters. n and r took turns being the caller and we all shouted them out and said words that begin with them. we had 3 games then they wanted to play operation.
i dont find it an easy game when we all play because at the moment b can,t pick up the pieces so gets lots of extra tries, r also finds it hard to pick pieces up so she gets lots of extra tries as well.n is good at it so doesnt need extra gos but usually protests about the other 2 even though she usually ends up winning.oh joy my peacemaker hat was on again mind you they are arguing alot at the moment so peacemaker is a continuous role.
n helped me with tea and we baked a cake for afters.
i managed to get a tiny bit of knitting done while they watched tele,high school musical concert came on so everything stopped for that.i,m trying to finish some shorties for little man which i started ages ago and which won,t fit him soon if i dont get em done, theres only about 6 rows of the leg cuff to go! and i really want to get the mei tai done soon, my to do list is growing longer.
anyway thats been our day today intermingled with lots of eating, washing,nappy changing, non stop talking and general family life.oh and it,s been raining again nearly all day!!

finally, i,ve got round to starting a blog.it,s been on my to do list for ages.
what will be in it? hmm
-our days and what we,ve done in them while he-ing,
-knitting projects,sewing projects,our baking and crafting adventures, basically a day to day diary (note to self- isn,t that what a blog is ??????)
i,m sure i,ll find lots more to write about but for now at least i,ve made a start and actually written something :-)
off to bed now as it,s stupid o,clock again.not enough hours in the day.
